Music is a vital part of worship at the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury. Many in the congregation love to sing, and those who don't love to listen. We enjoy singing hymns and songs of many traditions. We "belt out" the old favorites and tentatively sing new songs while learning them. We firmly believe that singing is an essential part of worship and, therefore, want all to sing out whether or not they believe they have a "good voice."
We use the Worship & Rejoice hymnal published by Hope Publishing. We have also been known to use an array of hymns from older and newer resources.
We have a Senior Choir which sings most Sunday mornings from September to the beginning of June. In addition, we hope to augment our worship with offerings from our Bell Choir and other groups or soloists. While we enjoy music in many forms, our main musical instruments are the pipe organ and piano.
