Community Advocates for
Resources,
Education and Services
Tewksbury has
formed a substance abuse
awareness committee. It is called
Tewksbury C.A.R.E.S.
(Community Advocates for Resources,
Education and Services).
The goal of the group is to
create awareness to the community that these issues must be addressed.
The committee meets monthly at 5:30 p.m.
Thursdays at Town Hall.
Members are interested
community members and
leaders including educators, police and health care workers.
Phil French, Chairman of the Board of Health initiated
the formation of the committee and is its leader.
Betty Dick is the committee treasurer.
Involving the entire
community including schools,
churches and youth groups is a major goal. Betty will
continue to update the board of Christian Education
and the church of further developments.
Please contact Betty Dick if you have any questions
or interest. A copy of the newspaper article written
in the Town Crier on Tewksbury C.A.R.E.S.
is on the church bulletin board for you to view.
